Shoe styles in the 17th Century were varied. While peasants sported basic leather or wool shoes, the upper classes enjoyed intricately patterned leather or expensive silks. Heels and platforms were still the norm for those who could pay the price, only this time round they were a more manageable three or four inches. <\/p>\n
While there will always be demand for shoes, the success of a shoe retail store depends on how well it copes with dictates of fashion, demographics, and ever changing tastes of shoe buyers. Price wise, however, men shoes are more expensive than women shoes. There are also a number of niche product categories and novelty designs.. <\/p>\n
For the remainder of 2013, we continued our accelerated store growth with 3 new stores and a relocation of 1 store earlier this month. This will bring our total new stores opened for the year to 32, including 3 additional stores in Puerto Rico. At this time, we plan to close a total of 5 stores at the end at year end. <\/p>\n
